This service varies from dog to dog depending on age, size, social behaviour and whether or not the animal is properly house trained. Some dogs away from home bark incessantly all night, scratch doors and even destroy furniture and carpets as well as chewing through wooden doors. Excessive damage to property and/or fouling need to be compensated for. The worst scenario (although rarely experienced) is dogs will be dogs and occasionally get into fights, harming some of our other guests. All dog owners whose dog turns aggressive and damages other animals in our care must cover vet bills, hence a waiver must be signed. We advise that you are properly insured against third party injuries.
View RSPCA Duty of Care Support Video Give your dog a healthy, constructive and enjoyable life. Teach the canine ABC, the friendly way. Dogs suffering from antisocial behaviour are walked separately and are given 20 minutes per walk @ £7.50 inclusive of mileage for all long-term bookings within the Carshalton area. The occasional walk is charged @ £10.00 inclusive of mileage within the Carshalton area. Where mileage is charged, outside the Carshalton area, the rate remains the same but with an additional fee of £0.50 per mile, based on pick-up and return to base. Clicker Training enables one to educate one's pet with style. Dogs who are well adjusted, friendly and sociable with other dogs in a group pack are walked, usually, in open fields, wooded areas or farmland. We 'clicker' train the dogs to help them adjust into the 'pack' behaviour before letting them off the lead. All dogs are rewarded with treats when offering good behaviour. We carry a first aid kit for dogs, 'scoop the poop' bags and plenty of fresh water when in transport. Currently we are unable to wash the dogs down after running in wet, muddy fields so please ensure you have plenty of carpet protectors where necessary. The dogs have a great time and really enjoy their freedom, chasing rabbits or foxes in the woods. Grooming is not part of our job description; however, you will find a very contented happy animal when you return home from work. A creative dog is an active dog who stays alert. We do advise our customers to have their dogs micro-chipped, as occasionally a dog might get distracted and get lost in the heat of the moment. We have never lost a dog yet, but these are very distressing times for both owners and carers. By law a dog must wear a collar with a visible identity tag. Fortunately we live in an area where people still have a conscience and are very concerned when they find a lost dog. The local police too are always only too willing to help. Our job is to give your dog the time of their life whilst you are at work. We need your co-operation as we can work only with dogs who feel secure, loved and are confident. An obedient dog usually comes from a home where he/she receives attention and is treated with respect.
A tired dog is a happy dog. We are connected to a whole host of professional animal carers from CFA 'clicker' trained, veterinary back-up, to nutritional care, and canine legal advisors (including both fashionable and practical products as well as treats) at very reasonable rates. You'd be amazed to learn how one can improve the quality of a dog's life with a little extra knowledge and a few very simple attributes.
